A Yellowstone bison tried to help nominate a 43-year-old Mississippi woman for the 2015 Darwin Award. The woman suffered minor injuries when she turned her back on the unamused bison in an attempt to take a selfie. The bison did exactly what you would expect, tossing the woman with a head butt. The woman and her family said they read the warnings, but they saw other Darwin candidates close to the bison and thought it would be alright. A park press release states this is the fifth person injured after approaching bison in the park this year.
