: I'm working on a research project using a large : dataset of tractors (various makes and models) and : their technical specifications. Does anyone know : when cabs were first introduced? It seems that : cabs were really popularized around 1968 when : a lot of test work was done on cab safety in : Sweden. Or were they commonly available before : then? I did a little more research and found that Hart-Parr built a tractor in 1911 that was called the 60-100 which is also the largest gas tractor ever made. This tractor had a cab with windows and was suppose to weigh in excess of 26 tons!I dont think there is any of these tractors left in existence. Pioneer also made a tractor with windows in the early 1900's but dont have much info on them. There is a few of them around one that I know about is in Rollag Minnesota. By the way if yo ever get a chance go to the Rollag show and they do have a web site.
