My dad told me that his dad -my granddad- said when social security started it was a big mistake. I think that's where this started. Politicians know they can get votes when they give free stuff. We're getting more and more people who will vote for free stuff rather than work for it. We're on the same path as Greece. In their last election they again voted for free stuff when the writing was on the wall.
