Easy to check the timing. Just rotate it slow and as the LH impulse mark on the flywheel passes the - on the side cover of the tranny the mag should snap and if the wires are on correctly spark should then appear at the # 1 spark plug which is the flywheel side. It will spark on compression and exhaust. What year B ? if a later pressed frame one the marks are in the center little cover of the flywheel cover at the bottom of the hole.
