How much is to worn to re surface. If thats a stepped flywheel like a 695 i Had here, for a customer the machine shop just moved everything up on specs. They machined the clutch mounting face, the bottom of the step where the disc lining runs. then what they took off the other faces removed that from the bolt flange where the heads sit to stop the heads hitting the disc.
The purists will have a fit with this method, we do it with Belarus flywheels to you just got to be carefull you don't go much more than a 16th to 8th or so of an inch. I cant remember what these guys did this one to, but it was a fair bit and the tractors still running now. Talk to a good old school machine shop or an older machinist they might have done it before.
