FIL let the woods mower PTO end set on the ground for 3-5 years (9N wasn't running).
The lock/release pin completely rusted up. Took forever, some air tool oil, al little heat (not too much to cook the bearings), hammer/punch, grinder and finally goy the old pin out.
The new Wessler pin kit looks a bit different but the diameters are the same size and length.
Tried to put it in but it fought me all the way and it won't move freely. Got it back out without much effort.
I suspect I may have a bit more rust to try to get out of the hole but before I try to put it back in I was wondering if there a trick to putting these in? or maybe something else I'm missing?
