The guys that just have to idle their new diesel trucks to sound like the big boys are going to love the repair bill for cleaning or replacing a plugged EGR cooler. Diesel EGR operates backwards of a gas engine, EGR is open at idle. Low exhaust temps cause the cooler to plug. No modern diesel should be idled for long periods.
