When Dixie and I take more than a day long trip we take Rusty dog with us. If it is hot outside I leave the engine run with the AC on when we stop to eat. I do stop at truck stops where diesels are idling all around so snoopy save the planet people don't get their noses in the air. Last week on a warm afternoon at Walmart a big diesel pickup was idling as I walked by. When I came back it was still there idling. As I walked by a tiny old lady leaned over to the window to look out. What a waste of fuel just to make an old person comfortable I suppose. I hope no one is that inconsiderate for me when I get old.
