Was helping Dad move a few heifers out of the pen to the tie stalls today since it was raining on & off today. I had one that had her head near the stall so I grabbed her string, and she pulled. Pulled me right against the tie stall which in and of itself isn't bad, but Dad had an extra tie chain over it, and guess what, that's right where my armpit went. I pulled her in and got her tied, but I definitely got a nice bruise to show for it. I'll heal up and no other damage was done, but boy it kinda smarts yet.
Yesterday I was up in the haymow and my foot slipped off the boards I was walking on and I put my right leg through the floor, and got stuck a little between the planks we were storing in the back lean part. Had to lift myself up enough to tilt the board all my weight was on to get my knee out, as the other one was too big and under a few other planks.
Maybe I should stay away from the farm for a few days.... but then again I've gotta fix a boom on the sprayer and make a new back for a hay wagon I picked up for $100... Maybe I can heal up while I'm working my normal job.
