when I had it done they took bone from my hip to fuse the vertebrae in my neck I know its different now.I had to wear neck brace for 2 months The hip was the most pain!!! the numbness took at least 2 weeks to leave my arms Sounds as if they have made progress in this surgery!!!! You will be happy with the results some people refuse to get the surgery and live with the pain and numbness I was ready to checkout before I had this done!!! congratulations!!!
