Don't know about now, but ten years or so ago "State Farm" were the two dirtiest words in the auto body industry.
Any body shop willing to deal with State Farm had to submit to State Farm's demands as to how the job was done, using aftermarket sheet metal, cutting corners on quality, etc. And, of course, when a shoddy job went out the door it was the shop's reputation that suffered.
I've nothing against aftermarket sheet metal, I've used a lot of it myself, but it has its place. If a customer is paying the bill he may be perfectly agreeable to saving a few dollars. But on a top quality insurance repair on a new vehicle, I wouldn't consider it.
That's why I shied away from insurance work altogether. I had all the work I wanted without having to deal with insurance companies.
