Raven, I dont know. But one of my mowers [ maybe both, I forget ] does something similar, if I hit a big bump the blades stop. I push in the knob, pull it out again and it starts mowing again. Buddy of mine showed me simple way to balance blades; remove blade, use round-shaft screwdriver in bench vise, held horizontal, and balance the blade on that. Grind off a little of whichever side leans down, until you get perfect balance.
