I have some skid steer attachments that have flat faced couplers. In spite of a hydraulic pressure release solenoid on the Bobcat, it was sometimes impossible to hook the couplers up due to pressure buildup in the hoses. Biggest challenge was my hydraulic tree saw with its' oversize hoses. By joining the ends up immediately when I'm done the pressure equalizes and the couplers will snap right in for next time's use with no problem. I would also wrap the hose ends in a plastic bad to keep them clean and from from corroding. Hooking them together eliminated that task, too.
