I am back from trip to SW Kansas. It was an interesting week.
I got to the customer site, and they had not started the wiring. I decided to get what work done that I could. I downloaded the program changes into the controller, rebooted it, and one of the modules that I was NOT working on would not restart. This module communicated with the master system that controls all the pipeline stations. We called in their tech support and found out that a different module had failed and affected the other modules. The system came back up when we pulled that, but that module monitors all the fire and gas detectors on the site. It is important to monitor those sensors in a natural gas station. The customer had to drive to another site and get a spare module, popped it in and everything fine.
