I have recently done business with Denny's Carb Shop. And I really wish I did some research on the forum before I did so. I have found posts Dating back to 2006 regarding his work. I sent him 2 distributors to be rebuilt and converted to electronic ignition, and 4 Carburetors 1 of which was off from a 4020 gas and the other 3 I was wondering if he was willing to purchase for cores.
The Carbs came back with one rebuilt and the others had the brass needle and seats removed from them and shipped back at my expense as they where not interested. Which is the problem as the rubber tip needle he used in the rebuilt one continues to swell and stick closed. When I called Denny's Carb Shop the lady that answers the phone is always Unhelpful and one of the most unpleasant and rude people I have ever talked to. I have never been so belittled. Its always the same old story that "you must have done something wrong" or "must have got dirt in it somehow. I then settled with the idea of just send me back my brass needle and seats and she called me a liar they would never do something like stealing.
Now the Electronic Ignitions One worked miraculously. But the JD A system will only run on one cylinder. No2 Cylinder is completely dead. Once again you call and are told that "you must have hooked it up wrong" well I'm sorry but if that was the case it would have burned out the whole unit, and this is not my first unit I have installed.
Nonetheless if you are considering dealing with Denny's Carb Shop. DON'T!! Seek out repairs else where. Reading through my rant, and the others dating all the way back to 2006 should give you a good sense of what you are getting into.
PS, if anyone related to Denny's Carb Shop in anyway is reading this. Please give me back my parts you withheld, and stop blaming your customers for poor workmanship. If your feeling generous send me another Ignition assembly. Thanks.

Today's Featured Article - Search For Spares - by Anthony West (UK). Following on from the aquisition of the old Fordson F, I was very much in need of spares. As a novice though I didn't appreciate the fact that there were so many Fordson tractors made, that all the other makes seem rare by comparison. As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
