I know this has nothing to do with tractors but it is engine related. I bought an Audi tt 225hp a couple of months ago with a very loud ticking/knocking noise from the engine, I bought it in the full knowledge it had issues. Took off the oil pan and initially found a brocken end to an oil squirter, I then looked up into the engine to find a bent connecting rod. Long story short I dismantled the engine, replaced the oil squirter, rod etc and bolted everything back up. Changed the turbo boost control valve (thought this could have been what allowed the engine to over boost) and the cause of the bent rod. What do you guys think caused the bent rod? Car running nicely again, no noises and smooth power delivery. Any thoughts welcome.
