I got pulled over a few years ago and the officer was very complete (picky) in his inspection. Decided he would put me out of service and have the truck impounded. It would have to be repaired and inspected by a local shister shop before he would release it. I told him I am retired and was driving as a favor for a friend so I have all the time in the world. And the owner's brother is an attorney in this state so we would see the officer in court. We would start adding up the charges against the officer the next morning. Nice officer decided he could let me off with a warning. I still would not sign it so he tore it up and told me to get out of his county. No problem, I am gone.
