We have decent water drainage in our county but the ground is definately saturated. Had another 1.5" of rain yesterday and everything went to running. Some crops drowning out but on ground with drainage corn is now 3-4 ft. tall. Lot of wheat sitting in the field waiting though. About 1/3 of it waiting on the ground.
The flooding problems are mainly in river bottom areas that are typically calm in a normal year. Over time people have built up to them and now we are seeing 50 and 100 year flooding and people are caught off guard.
