In this area we do have quite a few livestock confinement sites that are heavily reliant on electricity and that is good incentive to keep the power supply reliable. I have never owned a generator but i have looked at getting one. I have the double throw switch installed, all i need is a power cord and generator to complete the setup. I dont have livestock, i don't need electricity to heat the house and my water comes from the acreage across the road where my son lives and he does have a generator.
