What kind of plugs are you putting in it? I've had the best luck with Autolite 437. More than once Ive had a customer complain of there ford not running right and they had Champion plugs in them. Put in a new set of Autolites and they purred like a kitten. One was a 9n that they had went through the carb and distributor and still run rough. They brought it to me and I put plugs in it and that was it. Seen the guy a couple years later and he said it was still running great. Might be an easy thing to try
