Dad has a LX188 he bought new in 98. It's kinda funny as we were talking about his Friday afternoon.
When his was roughly a year old, it went in and the coils were replaced, hotter plugs installed, and the carb was jetted differently.
If we both recall correctly, it would cut out and run on one cylinder from time to time, usually after it had been running for a while.. (it's been a long long time). Dad said it was covered under warranty, but if he remembers correctly, he was told it was a service bulletin back then.. I just recall it going in to be fixed, because I remember loading it on the trailer and taking it to our local dealer for him.
