My pasture hasn't had cows on it for a few years now so the neighbor has been cutting it late in July. One cutting, round bales, 1st and 2nd cutting in one. Anyway, patches of nettles have begun to get larger each year so I sprayed them with round up this weekend. My question is, when pastured there were no nettles, so is this a result of waiting so long to mow? Would clipping them at first cutting stop the growth? Also, if the round up doesn't do a complete job should I bush hog them?
