Yes, got a little ahead of myself. The Lacon show was usually on Father's day weekend and it has changed. Really like the Amana Homestead shows, but it is too far with gas over $3.00/gallon, and someone needs to conserve. From my vantage point it certainly isn't going to be the Gen-X'ers or more pungently, the Hip-Hop'ers. A lot of the MM's are local, but I wonder if display tractors as well as attendance will be hurting at Amana, and moreover at other shows this year. The Lacon show is only around 15 miles from the farm and I have considered driving something up, but so far have only trailered once. There is not alot of interest in displaying tractors since the children have grown up, and never has been much shown by the significant other.
