I shopped around and wound up ordering this one for around $6500 4 years ago. I put about 300 hours on it a year, and no problems yet. Deere dealer wanted $7500 for a Bush Hog, $7000 for the Deere brand (said the Bush Hog was better). I had a Deere MX8 already and was not satisfied with the cut. The Deere deck was built a little better with double walls, but I had a problem keeping one of the stump jumpers on! Tractor is an Allis 175D, 65 pto HP,efficient Perkins diesel that rarely uses over 2 gallon per hour.
