Shortly before I retired from the army I agreed to repair a bobcat for a young guy who had just gotten out and was trying to start a business. Had finished it up and was taking it out to him on K18 just east of Ogden KS. Just had new rears put on my F250 that afternoon. Lost the left rear just at dark at 65 with a 610 bobcat behind. State cop was right behind me. He radioed the cops in Junction city who got the tire shop owner out there with a new tire and rim. Very lucky for me. No one hurt and a state trooper as a whiteness. Tire shop owner had the truck back in the next day, replaced the studs on that side. Truck was older and beat up so instead of repairing the boz side I got new front tires too.
