Well, oldman winter is still flexing his muscles. We're getting freezing rain, sleet, grapple and quarter sized snow flakes. We started gathering at 9:30 this morning. Finish gathering the last 2.5 roads that we hadn't gotten since last friday. By noon the guys were soaked, and the buckets that we gathered Monday, haven't run much at all, so the gathering crew gets a well deserved afternoon off. I am packing flat rate boxes with syrup and cream to fill orders that I have received. With the humidity at 96% it is tough to remove the moisture from the sap, so the evaporators are gobling up wood, but syrup is comeing off slow. Pics are of our makeshift rain gear, and all the steam dropping down to the ground from a raw wind from the NE. It was a little hard to pull up to the back of the sugar house to dump the sap when you could hardly see the front of the tractor. Loren, the Acg.

As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
