I am so sorry to hear he passed. I grew up watching him, and I had a great conversation with Ben Jones in Nashville at Cooter's Garage. I got to see one of his original sheriff uniforms in a display case. Ben Jones had so much good to say about him and it actually made me feel like I was a part of a family. I am so sorry and I wish you and your family my deepest condolences. I just hope that you know he and the other actors and actresses influenced and entire generation and was truly a great national treasure.
I just wish that the younger people knew what great actors and great TV was like. Gunsmoke, and the Dukes of Hazzard; it doesnt' matter. it was great TV and it is all lost now.
