Since "you were sold" as opposed to purchased the oil, you should check the label closely. It may be UTF or universal transmission fluid, which will be just fine. Actually regular hydraulic will be fine unless you plan to work it for hours at a time pulling a heavy load. You should expect that your 8N's tranny has plenty of sludge on the bottom so take this opportunity to flush it with fuel before refilling. Drive it around for fifteen minutes before draining the current oil to suspend solids. To flush it put the plug back in and pour in a half gallon of fuel then roock it back and forth a few times then drain.
