I went to a guys place years ago to buy parts. I was shocked to see a beautiful Farmall SC being torn apart and sold for parts. I asked him what was wrong with it and he told me nothing...beautiful tractor, ran great. I asked him why he was parting it out and he told me that "WE" (meaning the tractor collectors) did not want old rusty pitted parts. So he only bought the best tractors and then parted them out. Apparently, "WE" like to buy junk and spend a fortune fixing it up so that guys like him can buy them and part them out and sell them back to us piecemeal. He had a whole yard full of really nice tractors...all destined for the same fate. Food for thought.
