Im not sure if yours is the same as my cousins 135 but they have a valve up near the water pump to shut off the coolant back to the cab. Was a factory thing to my understanding. Is it possible yours is plugged or restricted? There were times even after they opened it there still wouldn't be heat or hardly any as it had an air pocket in it. I believe they had to give it a small shot of air in the radiator.
