This has got me stumped. I put an alt on a M farmall, standard delco 10si alt. I installed a diode in line. Last week it worked great, charging 13-13.5 volts. Now I go back today and it is overcharging, 14.75 volts at idle, and higher. it is like the regulator is grounded out and full charging. Any idea how this could happen.
