There is mention of tire chains on this site on occasion but I can't recall a discussion about these "screw-in" studs. Anybody ever used them? Might be a little expensive!

A few years ago, I installed some screws in my work boots when we had a particularly icy period and they worked very well. Years ago my son and his buddies installed screws in motorcycle and ATV tires when they went out on the lakes. These tractor tire screws have hardened studs on them which should wear better than plain ol' screws.
