Found something like what I made for a nest platform for the Great Gray. I just changed 30 cm to 12 inches, etc. This one needs to be up 20 to 30 feet. you need to place the sticks etc, from an old magpie or crow's nest inside once it is placed in position. Just make a depression in the center of the sticks, about the size of the female Gray's body. The Great Grays are likely already nesting now, so do it for next year. The Saw Whets' box should be up in April, as they do migrate - the Great Grays stay year round in my area. Find out if they are even in your area.
