I just did a Google search on "pictures of narrow front end IH 986" and got a hit from Tractor House several years ago. I can't post a link from my tablet...sorry.
The rear tire/wheel equipment on a nfe tractor was pretty common, 18.4x34 normally. Front tires were always 7.5Lx15's and the proper 6x15 wheel.
At the big all IH plow day put on by Marty Thieme and Wilson Gatewood the weekend before the Half Century of Progress every other year there is always a 1066 or 1466 nfe that you can find in pictures too.
