I never buy their food products because I have doubts about their sanitary practices. I don't recall seeing any wash sinks and hand sanitizer at an outhouse!
Seriously, you use hand sanitizer? Really? I've never seen anyone use that stuff.
I know Amish homes I'd eat off the floor in and others I wouldn't let my dog eat the scraps from. Amish are just people, just like English. The bigotry is getting old. Having worked in commercial food establishments and seen how many places have a different definition of "clean" and "refrigerated" I'm confident you would be better off in at least 75% of the Amish homes in my area than eating at the other places I'm thinking of. For that matter, unless you're washing your greens in hot soap and water you stand a pretty good chance of eating feces of varying sorts, to say nothing of the lugie some illegal with TB hocked up onto that nice looking lettuce at the Ponderosa salad bar.
