I have right at a 25 degree slope on the back side of my pond. Have tried for years to get a decent mower to do the job including tractor mounted mowers.
Finally got something that works......ATV snow stud tires on all 4 with a conventional riding mower. Mower is light enough to get around and the studs on the front grip the grass and allow me to turn uphill and make the turn rather than slide sideways and wind up down hill.
I liked them so well I put a set on the rear of a ZT and now I can mow the thing with it too.
That's why I did it. Earlier I tried R1's on the rear of a ZT but just slid sideways. No better than turf for me.
