I have worked in union and non union jobs. No company that I have heard of ever went union over just wages, but over working conditions and treatment on the job. If anyone thinks we would be better off if unions had not come about, go back to the 20s and 30s and work where exit doors were locked and you could not get out in case of fire, worked with dangerous chemicals that caused cancer and lung problems with no protection, and worked 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 days per week, frequently 7 days. Get injured on the job by dangerous equipment, you are fired immediately.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for �200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
