I found Deere belts lasted far longer than hardware store belts, NAPA, etc. Mine was on a 140 Deere. Belts would run fine until something internal failed then belts would come off frequently. Solution was to replace belt with new. Deere has that belt making 2 90degree turns plus 2 180 degrees, plus 4 90degree twists. Not an easy life for a belt.
