You most likely have the Heavy Duty "Truck engine" version of the FE engines.. They were known as : 331, 361, 391.
The MAIN differences are in the Intake/Heads have different heating passages, so the Intakes must match the Heads..a 390 Head will not match to a 391 Intake manifold, etc. But...you Can change the entire Top End (Heads/Intake) and use either on the short block.. Renew the guides and grind the valves. Nodular Iron Rings are durable and won't shatter with pre-ignition.. Properly built, these engines can be very Stout..
