Well Son, I've lived in the "real world" for a little over 66 years. There have been a very few times in my life that I wish I had a gun with me when I was around people, but looking back from this vantage point, I'm glad I wasn't carrying one. There are no material items I own that I would want to shoot somebody for, and if I had carried a gun around with me most of my adult life I would have used it a couple of times. I've been so angry at times that I would have shot people, but I've gotten over it--usually in a few seconds. Acting out our emotions by pulling and using a gun carries a burden with it that almost never ends well. You've had a lot of advise with with your knife post, I hope you are smart enough of a young man to take the time to consider it...slim
