We have a lot of groundhogs too. I messed around with gas, .22's, bubble gum and never had much luck. Last year I bought some duke 220 conibear traps. They work. But they will kill cats and dogs too, so you need to make sure there are no pets around. They will hurt you if you snap it shut on your fingers. Trust me. I killed 35-40 and didn't try very hard. I am going to get some more for this spring, and start earlier. Josh
