Bob the electronics are the issue on just about anything built in the last 10-15 years. I would not own any JD newer than a JD 10 series. This when they started going to can bus electrical systems. The systems are faster and in the automotive world they have worked well. The trouble is they are much harder to diagnose and the fewer unit numbers of farm equipment makes the diagnostic equipment be not as good.
I am not sure if the electronic revolution will be a good long term thing for farm equipment. The large operators will demand the latest and greatest but there will be a much smaller resale market for that equipment. So the resale value is going to be smaller.
