Think I mentioned on this forum before about a time several weeks ago when my wife and I and our pastor and his wife were guests at a birthday party.
Sitting around the table with dessert, the pastor regaled the guests with a story about how he'd recently washed his car in the evening before the temp went down to 14 degrees.
He came out of the house in the morning and found his car doors frozen shut. His car was in the driveway, blocking his wife's car. His wife had to go to work, and the pastor had an appointment.
He went into a long story about how he managed to get the trunk lid open, then with a fold down back seat was able to crawl through to the front seat and manage to kick the driver's door open. When he finished his story, I asked him why he hadn't just poured some warm water around the edge of the driver's door from the outside, opened the door, and wiped the water off with a towel.
The look on his face was priceless, and the look on his wife's face more than priceless.
