I was driving on I-80 in Nebraska, heading for a wedding in Kentucky with my 04 Ford F-350 with the 6.0 engine. Got to exit 48 in Nebraska, when all of a sudden, had lots of black smoke coming from the exhaust and loud clattering from the engine. Got the truck towed back to the dealer where I bought it from. With only 86,000 miles on it, had to have a new long block put in it. Number one injector tip broke off and made like a ball peen hammer in the chamber. Luckily, it was still under warranty.
