Bought a farm grain truck, mechanic had seen it and thought it was good, friend knew the seller and was a good truck, took me to look at it. With all that review, I bought it, driving home it seemed no power, hum.
Later mechanic works it over, says no compression in 2 cylinders, too expensive to rebuild, etc.
Sold it for scrap a couple years later. Not worth getting worked up on a friend and on the good local mechanic, but still not totally sure who took me on that, seemed a community effort!
