The Oliver prices are about right even if there is area dealer support. An 1850 would have to have very good paint, pretty fresh tires, and not 10,000 hours to get to the 5000 dollar mark or above. Some vegetable crop farm tractors are not the nicest either. Not so much the hardship that quite a few dairies face but it seems a fair amount of veg crop guys are adamant about outside investments. I've seen guys that if you look at their operation you would have thought they just scrape by but in fact they have a huge investment portfolio. As long as the tractors do the work the appearance is not so important.
