Was In Dallas all week on business flew home to St. Louis Friday night only to find the snow is following me supposed to get 6 or 7 inches here. I realize you guys don't get a lot of winter weather but I was surprised to see road crews spreading sand. Is it mixed with salt? Didn't seem like there was enough sleet/snow to need a plow as the highways were pretty clear but the bridges and overpasses were teriable. Why don't they use a salt or brine mixture? Are there regulations aginst it or just not enough winter weather to warrant buying and storing it? I didn't get to see much of the city this trip, but I've got 3 more trips to make to the Dallas Fort Worth area this spring. Maybe I'll get to sight see then.
