I have a table with every lotion available I have to switch around.. I have had to deal with this issue all my working life.. The crack forms around dead hard skin I use a single edge razor blade and trim the dead skin off then the crack will heal.. For my feet I use a hand held grader made for this and use it in the shower while my feet are wet..
