I was born in 1934 and went through most of those dangerous times and hazards mentioned.... and obviously survived. My question is....Why are we such gutless wimps and quietly puting up with what's going on in our once great country these days? (I know, I'm just an old senile rabble rouser and my remarks will probably get me kicked off this board....But, you know what? I'm being honest and real about the sad situation we Americans and a lot of the rest of the world are in as I see it). It's been a great 80 years I've had and I've enjoyed most of it...and I Thank God I lived it in the times I did....through all those unaddressed dangers and wars (most of which we won, or sort of won, incidently, shame on us) and some really hard times. The present future sure doesn't look so good to me now. We've come a long way...down the wrong road.....H--l bent for an election where there will be no winner...just losers, all losers.....
