Last year (2014) we had a terribly cold winter into fall, widespread across the country, especially by me, but it was a slow cold spring everywhere. Summer was historically cold here in the center of the country, crops didnt mature. This coolness radiated across the country except for California.
I was hearing other parts of the northern hemisphere were generally foolish.
Fall we had one of the earliest freezes in my lifetime, and it was terribly cold in November. What I heard was not just my backyard, but across continents except for the extreme west coast of North America.
And so in January, we are told 2014 was one of the honest ever recorded????

February is turning out more like our January would be, with some cold weather, but for us, not so unusual. I'd guess we are, locally, still above average here for 2015.
